A committed mental health professional and advocate, Amit Alon brings comprehensive experience in counseling, case management, and community engagement. With a Master's in Social Work from Barry University and certifications as a Registered Behavior Technician and Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, Amit has specialized in trauma-focused therapy, adolescent mental health, and advocacy.Born and raised in South Florida, Amit is passionate about supporting individuals and families in overcoming challenges and building stronger communities. Previous roles have included her role as a high school guidance counselor, therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Amit has advocated for Holocaust survivors and coordinated mental health services. Amit’s background also includes serving as a Court Liaison for Broward County Public Schools, where she represented children in foster care, conducted research on immigration policies, and assisted with professional development initiatives.In her role as Development Associate for Efrat, Amit will focus on donor acquisition, cultivation, and retention, alongside grant writing, and event planning. With a strong passion for advocacy and outreach, Amit will work to expand Efrat’s impact by growing its donor base and establishing new community chapters across the U.S.
